At Vanilla House, we take pride in making our decadent wedding cakes
using only the finest ingredients. We use fresh fruits,
natural flavours, liqueurs, butter and Belgian chocolate in our cakes.
Please see below for a list of the types of cakes we make,
from the traditional fondant-iced cakes to the contemporary chocolate
styled cakes.
Available flavours to choose from:
Chocolate Truffle Cake
Dark, moist chocolate cake, soaked with liqueur syrup and filled with Belgian
Chocolate ganache.
Flavour options: Espresso, black cherry, caramel, orange, mint, toasted pecans,
glace ginger
Vanilla Butter Cake
Classic Vanilla cake, brushed with jam glaze and filled with flavoured buttercream.
Flavour Options: raspberry coulis, lemon zest, orange zest, caramel,
vanilla pod, white chocolate; toasted almond; coffee
Carrot cake
Moist, spicy carrot cake filled with cream-cheese frosting; seeds, pecans & cinnamon
Rich fruit cake
Traditional old-fashioned boiled fruit cake made with dates, packed with dried
fruits and finished with marzipan.
Light fruit cake
Butter cake base, packed with dried fruits and soaked with brandy
Hummingbird Cake
Moist dense cake made with crushed pineapple, coconut, spices and banana.
Filled with cream cheese frosting
Chocolate Mud Cake
Dark, dense, brownie-style chocolate cake, sandwiched with chocolate ganache
Once you've decided on the cake flavour of your choice, we can decorate
your wedding cake in a style which best suits your special day. Please see
below for the various options on finishes:
Fondant
For a classic, elegant or traditional finish, this smooth hard icing is ideal
Chocolate Decor
White or dark, simple or intricate, this finish creates a contemporary feel,
whilst remaining a favourite for it's delicious decadent flavour
Naked frosting:
Delightful in it's simplicity, this finish is ideal for a stylish and casual
wedding, using either meringue; buttercream or our dark chocolate frosting

How we work
|
Our prices vary according to the style, size, and number of tiers chosen,
so please contact us in order to request a price. We invite you to fill in
the enquiry form below and we will contact you
with an estimated price. After that, we can arrange a personal consultation
in order to discuss all your details. We then send you a formal quote,
whereupon a 20% deposit will confirm your date.
We do personally deliver and set-up your wedding cake at the venue on the day of your
wedding. Delivery charges range according to the location of the venue and are quoted
on distance, but you are also most welcome to collect your cake. We have found that it
is best to book your wedding cake at least 6 months in advance, especially if it falls
during the busy wedding season of September to April.
Wedding consultations are by appointment only and we do provide tasting samples at the
consultation.
Our consultation times are:
Tuesdays: from 3pm to 6pm and
Saturdays: from 10am to 11am
Consultations usually take about half an hour, so please contact us to arrange your
appointment. It's a great idea to bring along an invitation sample, colour swatches
or photos, so that we can get a feel for the style of your wedding.
Please note:
We will be closed from 8 July to 17 July and 25 December to 7 January.
